Veridian Village features a variety of green building and landscaping design features, including bamboo floors, cellulose insulation made from recycled materials, and rain gardens and vegetated swales for managing water runoff.

Veridian is built to be EnergyStar certified and to achieve or exceed a Silver rating on the National Association of Homebuilders Green Home Building Guidelines.  All structures feature tight building envelopes and are equipped with EnergyStar appliances, energy efficient windows, and energy efficient HVAC systems. The construction of Veridian Commons uses reclaimed lumber. And, of course, there are bicycle racks, pedestrian walkways, and recycling areas.
